Happy Monday or could I say crapy Monday!

So the race between Josh and I is going well, but I just feel so down in the dumps these days. Many people have told me to go to the dr. for depression but I have no insurance and all the medicine I gave resurched can cause weight gain, Tha is half the reason I am depressed. If anyone has any suggestions let me know! Thanks and have a good week!!

I think it’s very easy to get depressed when you are dieting. It’s like all of your focus is on the parts of yourself you dislike.

If you really do think that you are suffering from a clinial depression you should really look into getting some help.

Some of the side effects may be slight weight gain, but you can overcome that. Especially if you are feeling better and more on top of things.

    Good luck.

Sounds corny, but do you exercise? If you do, even 20 minutes of walking a day those old endorphines kick in and walllla - depression starts to lift, you feel better about yourself, less cranky with those you love - in other words you start to see that “silver lining”. Not one to talk because I don’t walk regularly, just know that it works cause I used to rollerblade - a lot! You do get that runners high, but not just when you blade or run - everyone who walks gets it too. You need a little jump start to your brain. Stop concentrating on the diet, and concentrate on liking, even loving yoursel -no matter what size or weight you are. God loves you just the way you are, so why don’t you give it a try too? I’m here for you if you ever want to chat.

So often I have self-medicated with food. Then of course the feelings you have been pushing down with food rise to the surface. If you are having clinial depression, you need to see a Dr, but I try to find my reason for my depression and work it through with exercise and whole foods. Also I come on this site and these wonderful people make suggestions that REALLY help. Hang in there. Marge.

I realize this is an old post, but have you tried St. John’s Wort? Effective and cheap.
